Rebecca Lee is a Connecticut-based emerging artist working across the media of photography and photobooks. Lee earned her BFA in photography with a minor in visual communication design from Hartford Art School, where she received the Henrik Mayer Prize. She has worked as a photography and book editor and consultant in the professional settings of various galleries, artists studios and Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Lee creates limited editions of prints and photobooks while exploring the use of photography on digital platforms. She is known for her dream-like motifs surrounding consciousness while making subject matter and spaces of everyday life fascinating and depicting a unique narrative. In addition to her work as an artist, Lee works in fine arts education. She has recently taught photography with the International Summer School of Scotland at Yale. Lee has also held several positions at nonprofit galleries and museums throughout Connecticut, New York and in Miami, Florida. She is currently pursuing her MFA in photography from Hartford Art School.
